Fair auction reaps chickens for the Harbor Country Emergency Food Pantry.

 Twenty eight chickens were purchased by New Buffalo Savings Bank at theBerrien County Youth Fair poultry auction. They were delivered frozen to the HarborCountry Emergency Food Pantry. Pens of two chickens each earned surprisingly high bids this year, right down to the exhibitor. Chickens were purchasedfrom: Gabriel Zeiger, Logan Williams, Katlynn Williams, and Jessie Rieth ofThree Oaks; Ashlyn Gilmour of Niles; Ethan Korcek of Bridgman; Eric Lentz,Emily Kuntz, Krystal Kotesky, Jay Gonder, and Emmily Fox from Buchanan;Angel Fournier and Brian Bultema from Watervliet; Benjamin Patton fromGalien.
